This nationally recognised unit is designed for individuals who may need to provide a first aid response in remote or isolated situations, where medical help may be delayed. It includes extended patient care, communication with emergency services, managing environmental risks, and improvisation when resources are limited. |

Assessment: |
Theory: Written or verbal assessment on first aid procedures, priorities, and emergency communication Practical (including physical requirements): Participants will demonstrate extended first aid care and emergency response scenarios in outdoor or simulated remote conditions. Note: Practical tasks involve kneeling, bending, lifting, prolonged casualty care, and exposure to outdoor environments. A moderate level of physical fitness is required. |
