Course Overview
This course is designed for currently accredited Traffic Controllers in Queensland who need to renew their Traffic Controller Industry Authority Card. It provides updated knowledge and practical skills aligned with Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) requirements. Participants will refresh their understanding of safe traffic control practices using a stop/slow bat, WHS responsibilities, and effective communication on site. Successful completion ensures continued authorisation to control traffic at roadwork and event sites in Queensland.

Course Description: |
This Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) approved course is designed for current Queensland Traffic Controllers who need to renew their accreditation every three years. It refreshes traffic control knowledge, workplace safety responsibilities, and practical skills for safely directing traffic using a stop/slow bat. |

Assessment: |

Course Outcomes: |
Upon successful completion, students will receive Statements of Attainment for: These units meet the requirements for renewal of a QLD Traffic Controller Industry Authority Card issued by TMR. |
Refresher Training: |
Traffic Controller accreditation must be renewed every 3 years. |
