This course equips participants with the skills to act as a workplace emergency warden. It covers responding to alarms, following emergency procedures, and assisting in safe evacuations. Ideal for anyone assigned warden duties as part of an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO).

Course Description: |
This nationally recognised unit equips participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively perform the duties of a member of an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO), such as a floor or area warden, during a workplace emergency. The course focuses on understanding emergency response procedures, communication protocols, and the roles within the ECO. |

Assessment: |
Theory: Written and/or verbal questions covering emergency response procedures, ECO roles, and WHS obligations.
Practical (including physical requirements): Participants must demonstrate warden duties in a simulated emergency,
including use of communication systems and coordination of evacuations. |

Refresher Training: |
It is recommended that ECO members complete refresher training every 1–2 years or as per workplace emergency procedures and state regulations. |
