This course covers the skills and knowledge required to design and apply make-up for a range of occasions and client preferences. It includes face and skin analysis, product selection, hygiene practices, and make-up application techniques suited today, evening, bridal, or special event looks.

Theory:Written or verbal questions covering make-up design principles, hygiene, client consultation, and product knowledge

Practical (including physical requirements):
Participants will perform make-up application on live models, demonstrating design, technique, hygiene, and client care.

Note: Practical tasks require steady hands, close-up vision, fine motor skills, and standing or leaning for extended periods. A reasonable level of physical stamina and attention to detail is essential. Students will be required to supply live models for assessment.

Refresher training is recommended every 2–3 years or when updating product ranges, tools, or industry techniques.

This Nationally Recognised Training course is delivered face-to-face by qualified and experienced trainers, ensuring a high standard of practical instruction.

1. Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN): Basic English, reading, writing, and numeracy skills are required.
   
2. Unique Student Identifier (USI): You must hold a valid USI to enrol.
   
3. Identification Requirements: Please bring three forms of identification, with at least one containing a photograph.
   
4. Arrival Time: We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled course start time.
