Course Description:

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to consult with clients and perform safe, effective waxing services for the face and body. It includes client consultation, hair growth analysis, product selection, application and removal techniques, infection control, and aftercare advice.

What Will I Learn?

Assessment:

Theory: Written and verbal assessments covering consultation, waxing procedures, safety, and hygiene

Practical (including physical requirements): Students will perform waxing treatments on live models, demonstrating correct technique, client care, and hygiene.

Note: Tasks involve close-up work, use of waxing equipment, repetitive hand movements, and standing for extended periods. A moderate level of physical stamina, fine motor skills, and attention to detail are required. Students will be required to supply live models for assessment.

Course Outcomes:

Upon successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for:
SHBBHRS010 – Provide Waxing Services


Refresher Training:

Refresher training is recommended every 2–3 years or when techniques, tools, or hygiene protocols are updated.

This Nationally Recognised Training course is delivered face-to-face by qualified and experienced trainers, ensuring a high standard of practical instruction.

  1. Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN): Basic English, reading, writing, and numeracy skills are required.
  2. Unique Student Identifier (USI): You must hold a valid USI to enrol.
  3. Identification Requirements: Please bring three forms of identification, with at least one containing a photograph.
  4. Arrival Time: We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled course start time.
