Course Description:

This course provides the knowledge and skills to manually fell small to medium-sized trees using a chainsaw in low-complexity situations. It focuses on safe tree-felling techniques, hazard assessment, environmental considerations, and correct use of equipment and PPE. It is suitable for controlled environments with minimal tree lean, limited canopy weight, and no significant defects.

Note: This course involves physical tasks such as lifting and operating a chainsaw, standing for extended periods, working in uneven terrain, and handling felled tree sections. A good level of physical fitness and coordination is required.

Refresher Training:

Refresher training is recommended every 2–3 years, or when there are changes to safety procedures, equipment, or job roles.
