Course Description: |
This course provides the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a quad bike (also known as an ATV) in a range of workplace settings. It includes pre-operational checks, safe riding techniques, operating across different terrains, and carrying out post-operational maintenance. The training is delivered in line with manufacturer guidelines and WHS requirements. |

Theory: Written knowledge assessment Note: Students must have access to a compliant quad bike in safe working condition for the practical component of this course. This course also requires physical coordination, mounting and dismounting vehicles, balance control, and wearing PPE such as helmets. Basic physical fitness is required. |

It is recommended that refresher training be completed every 2–3 years or when changes occur to equipment, procedures, or safety regulations. |
