Course Overview
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to apply facial make-up products for day, evening or special occasions.

It requires the ability to consult with clients, analyse face and skin, and to demonstrate and apply make-up products to suit client needs or make-up brief.

This unit applies to beauty therapists, retail assistants, and make-up freelancers who work in beauty salons, retail cosmetic outlets, and settings that provide make-up services. In this environment they make routine service decisions within a defined range and have knowledge and skills of a variety of make-up products and application techniques.

Course Details	This course will cover the following topics: Colour compatibility Hygienic practices of the therapist Contraindications Theory and practice of make-up techniques A full basic day make-up sequence From day to evening make-up sequence Benefits of natural and organic products
Entry Requirements	To enroll in this course, the following requirements must be met: 16 years + (parental consent required if under 18). Year 12 or equivalent Mature age students RPL if able to demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge.
Dress code	Whilst in the salon, the following dress code applies: Black long pants Black enclosed soft sole shoes Shirt (this is supplied in training kit) Hair up, neat and tidy Minimal jewellery No mobile phones Arrive 10 minutes before practical session is due to start Models for student services are to wait in the front of the Salon
