AHC20116 Certificate II in Agriculture

This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge to work in agricultural production. Subject to the nature of the employer's business, a trainee undertaking this role will acquire a broad range of skills in one or more agricultural sectors, such as broadacre cropping (eg. grains, sugarcane, cotton) and livestock (e.g. sheep, beef, horses).

Entry Requirements

  • 16 years + (parental consent required if under 18).
  • Mature age students
  • RPL if able to demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Access to a computer with word processing, PDF reader capabilities and an internet connection
  • A good command of written English
  • Ability to allocate appropriate study hours per week

 

What will I learn?

  • Providing support for basic repair of plant and machinery

Students have 18 months to complete their qualification and they are able to complete their course work at their own pace using their selected delivery option.

Pathways

Students who successfully complete the course will receive the nationally recognised Certificate for AHC20116 Certificate II in Agriculture. This Qualification is from the latest version of the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package and is the most up-to-date qualification in agriculture.

Graduates are eligible for enrolment in the AHC30116 Certificate III in Agriculture qualification and will be eligible for direct credit for units completed in this course.
