Course Overview
This course provides the skills to safely respond to small workplace fires using fire extinguishers, hose reels, and fire blankets. Participants will learn how to identify fire types, select the correct equipment, and follow safe firefighting procedures in line with WHS and workplace requirements. Ideal for all staff as part of workplace emergency preparedness.

Course Description: |
This nationally recognised unit equips individuals with the skills and knowledge required to identify and safely use portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, and fire blankets in the workplace. The course is designed to build confidence in responding to incipient-stage fires using the correct firefighting equipment, in accordance with workplace emergency procedures and WHS requirements. |

Theory: Multiple-choice and/or short answer questions covering fire safety knowledge and equipment usage
Practical (including physical requirements): Participants must demonstrate the safe use of a portable fire extinguisher,
fire blanket, and hose reel during simulated fire scenarios. |
