(Participants must hold both units or demonstrate equivalent experience.)

Course Description:

This advanced-level course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively fell large and complex trees in high-risk environments. It focuses on trees with significant lean, heavy branching, structural defects, or those requiring complex felling techniques. The course includes advanced planning, hazard control, and emergency response measures in forestry and high-impact worksites.

Note: This course involves strenuous physical activity, including extended chainsaw use, felling in uneven or steep terrain, handling large tree sections, and working under high-risk conditions. A high level of fitness, strength, and endurance is required.

Course Outcomes:

Refresher Training:

Refresher training is recommended every 2–3 years, or as required by employer or industry regulations due to the high-risk nature of this task.
